The American Red Cross helps people in need, free of charge, every single day!  Your contribution means a great deal to the organization, but even more to the families who rely on the Red Cross to help them through some of the most difficult times of their lives.

With your ongoing support we will keep America strong, through these vital programs-Disaster Relief Services, Family Emergency Services, Critical Lifesaving Services, and 24-hour military assistance.

But the Red Cross is not a government agency. We must rely on volunteers and the generosity of the American public. With your ongoing support, we will continue to be there providing people in crisis … relief for today and hope for tomorrow.

Adopt-A-Day of Local Disaster Relief
Do you want to know an easy way for you or your organization to help make a difference in your own community?
Our Adopt a Day of Local Disaster Relief program gives business or individuals the opportunity to help provide comfort to families in our communities displaced by disaster – such as single family house fires, apartment, blazes or blizzards.

The Northeast Massachusetts Chapter of the American Red Cross has provided disaster relief to the members of the community since the chapter was founded in 1933.  Each year our chapter helps hundreds of people who are victims of disasters.  The cost for providing this critical emergency response assistance is roughly $522 a day. This includes temporary sheltering, assistance with permanent housing, replacement medical items, food, clothing, mental health assistance and a host of other disaster related services.

We need your help to continue to provide this critical life-saving work within our community!  There are several different ways you can Adopt a Day (or more) of Local Disaster Relief through the American Red Cross of Northeast Massachusetts:

Adopt a Day = $522
Adopt a Week = $3,654
Adopt a Month = $15,660

All donations made through this program will be recognized on our chapter’s website and an acknowledgement letter and a certificate of appreciation will be sent to the individual or organization making the donation. If you or your organization would like to participate in our Adopt a Day of Disaster Relief Program, or would like more information about the program and how to fundraise for it, please contact Julie Manninen at (978) 922-2224.

Give Blood
We all expect blood to be there for us, but barely a fraction of those who can give do. Yet sooner or later, virtually all of us will face a time of great vulnerability in which we will need blood. And that time is all too often unexpected.
